Digital Education

Not a choice but only way to cater the world's population and save the environment.

World's population increased over 2 billion from 1950 to 2017 and it's estimated to reach over 8 billion by 2050 and with the increasing population the number of Youth will also increase. On one side Lincoln increases and colleges but we have limited resources in terms of trees building, land, water Etc. which are utilized for production of papers and setting up new infrastructures. Educational institutions' infrastructures have a lot of impact on the environment, because of the huge amount of paper utilized in colleges. Using the example of my college, where we have only 2,000 students enrolled. In the production of A4 papers only that we use every year, takes approximately 60 large, full-grown Oak trees and 2000 liters of water.

Benefits of Paperless Eco-friendly Class
1. Save Trees & Water With No Paper
  • To produce 1A4 size paper, it requires 2lt. Water in processing.
  • Each student consumes 1 full-grown Oak tree as chapter books and notebooks in the completion of his/her bachelor’s degree.
  • Imagine if each student uses 40notebooks, 200pages each and 10books, 400pages each, which is equal to 12,000pages per year, each student will consume 24,000Lt. water and 1 full-grown Oak tree. As per the MHRD website, 3.50 crore students are studying in higher education, which means 1.20cr. Oak trees and 24,000x1.2cr Lt. water consumption every year.

2. Minimize the weight of their backpacks. All books and notes will be in one device ie.tablet or ipad.

3. Sharing class to overcome faculty crunch.

4. Easy access and availability of all the resources, 24/7 anywhere-anytime.

5. Transparency in education.

6. IT trained students without extra training.

7. Unlimited faculty, resources, knowledge and experts advice.

8. Virtual classes and examination, no travel time, no transportation

9. Tremendous saving of time.
